As Casino Guardian already reported in November 2016, the World Series of Poker Circuit is heading to the Netherlands. This year, local poker lovers will see one of the biggest poker tournaments on a global scale kick off at Holland Casino Rotterdam, with the first event being scheduled to start on August 25th.
Several months ago, the organisers of the WSOP International Circuit officially announced that an exclusive agreement was reached between Caesars Interactive Entertainment and the Holland Casino, which will see the Circuit being organised every year. This is the first time when the Holland Casino in Rotterdam is to host the WSOP International Circuit Series, which on the other hand has been expanding to new territories lately.
The 2017/2018 edition of one of the biggest, oldest and most popular poker festivals in the world is to come to the Netherlands for the first time in its history so far. It is to be hosted at the the renovated Holland Casino Rotterdam from August 25th to September 2nd, featuring a total of twelve poker events with various formats, buy-ins and prize pools.
What is also interesting is the fact that the player who emerges as the winner of the WSOP International Circuit Rotterdam Main Event as well as the player who tops the leader board will both receive an extra ticket that will qualify them directly for the WSOP Global Casino Championship.
2017/18 WSOP International Circuit Holland Casino Schedule
The first event from the 2017/2018 International Circuit’s schedule that is to kick off at Holland Casino Rotterdam, is a No-Limit Hold’em Starter two-day event, featuring a buy-in of €440. A few hours later, a No-Limit Hold’em Turbo event with a buy-in amounting to €330 is to kick off.
August 26th will see a €1,100 NLHE 6-Handed event start, with the tournament offering a re-entry option. Players who enjoy re-entry events will be able to join the No-Limit Hold’em PSKO event at the cost of €440. Then, the €550 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack event with a single re-entry option is to start, followed by the WSOP International Circuit NLHE High Roller event, which can be entered in return to a buy-in of €3,500.
Undoubtedly, the most-expected event in the 2017/2018 WSOP International Circuit’s at the Holland Casino Roterdam is the four-day Main Event, featuring two starting flights that are to kick off on August 29th and 30th, as well as a single re-entry option. It also features a buy-in of €1,650 and a massive guaranteed prize pool of €1,000,000.
A number of other events is also included in the WSOP Circuit’s schedule, with the €770 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed, €330 NLHE Crazy Pineapple and the €880 No-Limit Hold’em PSKO 8-Handed to follow. The beginning of September will see two Turbo events kick off – the NLHE Hyper Turbo tournament with a buy-in of €550 and the NLHE Turbo event featuring a buy-in of €330.
