Inspired Gaming, which is currently the major provider of SBG Video Lottery, virtual sports as well as mobile gaming options, announced the launch of its land-based Virtual Sports in some US casinos in collaboration with one of the major UK gambling operators up to date – William Hill. This is the first time when the Virtuals content of the brand has gone live in gambling venues located in the US.
The fact that Inspired Gaming is expected to become the first supplier of Virtual Sports products that is to be given the chance to enter the US market was officially brought to public in May 2016. An agreement between the company and Golden Nugget Atlantic City concerning the launch of the Virtual Sports content was also signed earlier this year.
As the company revealed in its official statement, the Virtual Sports products have already been integrated with the CBS platform of William Hill. They have gone live in two gaming venues located in the state of Nevada and their deployment have been approved by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Probably the most beneficial part of the contract for Inspired is the fact that its Virtual Sports products are expected to be implemented and expand to all casino sportsbook venues run by William Hill and situated on the territory of Nevada in 2016-2017.
The two casinos where the Virtual Sports products of Inspired have already been implemented in the brand’s Race & Sports Books are Las Vegas-located Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino and Plaza Hotel and Casino. According to the terms of the deal, Inspired’s products are to be shown in casino sportsbook areas alongside live sports offerings. This means that casino players will be given the opportunity to place their bets in real time by using the CBS platform via self service terminals and over the counter, too.
Commenting on the latest announcement of the company, Inspired’s Digital Games CCO Steve Rogers confirmed that this is the first company worldwide to bring land-based Virtual Sports into effective action into the US gambling market, and more specifically Nevada. According to Mr. Rogers, Inspired has managed to prove itself as a leading provider of Virtual Sports innovation and its collaborations with William Hill would be quite beneficial for the company.
The CCO also commented that his company’s Virtual horse racing product is actually estimated to 18% of the overall horse racing revenue generated on the territory of the UK. He also said that the company remains hopeful that it will do even better in the US, considering the deployment of its Virtual Sports products.
