Leg 3 of the 2017 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) is to kick off at the Grosvenor Casino Maybury in Edinburgh in only a few days, on Sunday, March 26th. The festival’s Leg 3 is scheduled to end a week later, on April 2nd. This would be the fourth straight season of the competition which is to be hosted in the Scottish capital.
Undoubtedly, it is the Main Event of the festival that is most-expected by the players, but apart from it, a variety of events are to be featured in this year’s schedule of the GUKPT in Edinburgh. As always, the Main Event of GUKPT is to feature a guaranteed prize of £100,000 as well as a buy-in of £550.
Apart from the main event, a variety of other events is included in the GUKPT Leg 3 schedule. The festival will start with the £110 No Limit Hold’em Mini Main Event Flight 1 on March 26th. The Mini Main Event is to end on March 28th after two flights.
Also, there will be a number of super satellites to the regular Main Event which are to take place over the first three days of the festival. Players who would like to qualify for the Main Event of GUKPT Edinburgh would be able to do that at the turbo satellites to the Main Event, too. Both Super and Turbo satellites feature a buy-in of £26, except for the Super Satellite on March 29th, which costs £82.
A £165 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em event is to kick off on March 28th, with the Final being scheduled for March 29th. Players could also join the £110 No Limit Hold’em 6-Max event on March 29th. There will be one more NLHE event featuring a buy-in of £82, which is to start on April 2nd.
Leg 3 of the GUKPT festival will also offer poker lovers to join a £82 Pot Limit Omaha 4/5/6 ROI event, which is to start on March 30th. On the next day the £110 NLHE Bounty is to begin. April 1st will see the £110 NLHE Win The Button event kick off.
As already mentioned above, it is the Main Event of the GUKPT festival that usually gathers the largest players fields and is most-expected by the players. For example, the 8th edition of the GUKPT Main Event gathered a total of 192 entrants, with Andrew Teng being proclaimed as a winner taking home a prize of £26,000. On the next year, the £550 Buy-in Main Event of the festival gathered 234 entrants, with James Mitchell emerging as winner and scooping a total of £33,930 from the overall £117,000 guaranteed prize pool. Last year’s edition of the festival Main Event saw 184 entrants, of whom it was Tommy Le who emerged on the first place, with a prize of £25,000.
The £550 Main Event of 2017 GUKPT Leg 3 Edinburgh is scheduled to start with Day 1A on March 30th. Day 1B is to start on the next day, and Day 2 is scheduled for April 1st. The Final Day of the Main Event is scheduled for 12:00 PM on April 2nd.
