David Peters is currently the player who has been occupying the fifth position of the Global Poker Index (GPI) Ranking for two weeks now. This is his best achievement to date, as the 5th place has been as high as he has climbed in the ranking. Also, with all-time winnings of $12,221,561 and live best cash of $2,309,000 he has reached as high as the fourth position by national rank.
The American has taken part in various poker events within 2016. the latest event he participated in was the Bellagio Cup XII $10,00+400 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em event that took place between July 14th and 18th. He occupied the seventh position, generating winnings of $88,386.
David Peters triumphed as winner in the $1,500 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em of the 47th edition of the World Series of Poker tournament (WSOP) this year. He took part in Event #56 and reached the first position in the ranking from a total of 1,860 entries, winning not only a prize chunk of $412,557, but also a WSOP gold bracelet. This is undoubtedly the best achievement of the player so far in 2016.
The American also took part in several other events of the 2016 WSOP, including $3,000 Buy-in #52 No Limit Hold’em event, the $1,500 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em Bounty event at the end of June as well as the $1,500 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em Monster Stack (No Re-Entry) event. The overall winnings of the player in these three WSOP events amount to $16,134. With the first-place prize of Event #56, the total winnings of Peters generated within the 2016 WSOP tournament reach $428,691.
Peters also occupied the first position in the No Limit Hold’em High Roller 8 event of Bellagio High Roller VII on July 2nd, taking home a prize of $393,120.
The GPI No.5 player also took part in the EPT-12-FPS-6-Grand Final at the beginning of May 2016. He entered two events – the €10,000+200 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em Turbo Super Knockout 8Max #76 in which he ranked third and the €49,000+1,000 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em Super High Roller #37 event, in which he ranked 8th. The two entries brought him total winnings of €173,570.
David Peters also participated in Aria High Roller 27 and 29 events, as well as in the 2016 WPT L.A Poker Classic. He got to the third position in the Latter out of a total of 37 entrants. He also managed to rank 2nd in the No Limit Hold’em $250,000 Challenge Day 1 in 2016 Aussie Millions Poker Championship.
Earlier in 2016, he also became part of three events of this year’s PCA, as well as of Event #3 of 2016 World Poker Tour National (WPTN) – Philippines.
