The micro-share horse racing organisation MyRacehorse has hired Betfair’s former racing boss – Will De Nardo – to head its marketing efforts in the UK and Ireland as part of its effort to boost its footprint in the region.
MyRacehorse syndicate revealed that it has appointed Mr De Nardo as its global gaming advisor and marketing director in the UK and Ireland. As part of his new position at the company, the former Betfair head of racing is set to lead the expansion of the company’s customers. Reportedly, Will De Nardo will seek to expand the operator’s footprint in the two targeted markets and help promote the brand’s name, hopefully leading it to long-term success.
Mr De Nando is joining the micro-share horse racing syndicate MyRacehorse after spending almost 10 years at a number of Flutter Entertainment brands. Before moving on to Betfair, he worked at Sky Betting and Gaming and FoxBet.
According to MyRacehorse managing partner Jules Pittam, De Nando would bring an additional marketing skill set to the company’s business in the UK and Ireland thanks to his long-time experience at one of the largest gambling operators in the region. He noted that Mr De Nando was expected to have a strong influence when it comes to strengthening the owner experience and working with new partners.
New Head of Marketing Joins MyRacehorse Business from Betfair
MyRacehorse currently allows racing lovers to share ownership of racehorses – a unique concept that has become even more popular after the introduction of the service in the US three years ago. The rate of ownership is currently estimated at approximately $55, with the platform having managed to already gather a solid customer base in the US.
Reportedly, more than 50,000 owners share 110 racehorses across the UK, Ireland, Australia, and the US for the time being.
As mentioned above, the MyRacehorse syndicate is fully committed to further expansion of its one-of-a-kind ownership model in the UK and Ireland.
Now, Mr De Nando welcomed the opportunity to enhance the company’s efforts to expand on the international gambling market. He said he was extremely glad to be joining the operator at such an exciting time, as they would be trying to replicate the success the MyRacehorse platform was having in Australia and the US into the company’s business in Ireland and the UK.
The new marketing lead of the syndicate explained that he was very excited about him joining the company and the company’s business and confirmed that he would do everything in his strength to contribute to MyRacehorse’s success in the months and years to come. He would also try to help the company grow and reach its goals for the future, expanding into new markets and enhancing its footprint around the world.
