Mansion Group announced a decision to suspend its operations in the sports betting vertical so that it becomes more focused on its online gambling products and content available to customers. The brand is set to make a move forward and focus primarily on running casino brands after fully withdrawing its presence from the sports betting market by ceasing all sportsbook operations it currently runs, including MansionBet, which has been one of its flagship products.
The gambling company officially revealed that its MansionBet online gambling platform will close down on March 31st, 2022. Moving forward, the operator will no longer support any of its products that have been offered as part of its sports betting vertical.
Mansion Group shared that it made the decision after carefully considering and assessing the market conditions in the UK, where its MansionBet brand currently operates, despite the fact that it also has a number of operations in other parts of Europe, too.
Gibraltar-based Mansion Group is one of the longest-operating companies in the UK and has years of experience offering its gambling services in multiple verticals. Having that in mind, the decision to cut its ties to sports betting services has not come lightly but it still reflects the new strategy of the company and its willingness to adapt to the customer base and mostly focus on the job it does best.
Mansion Group Set to Focus Primarily on Its Casino Operations in the UK
Establishing a strong presence in the UK’s sports betting sector has been quite challenging when it comes to dealing with the competition of experienced sportsbook operators such as bet365, William Hill and Betfred, but the casino brands operated by the Mansion Group have been really successful throughout the years.
With the company now focusing mostly on this vertical, its customers will be able to access all major brands offered by the operator, including Mansion Casino and Slots Heaven. Their online gambling platforms are expected to get more attention from the company’s customers, so the Mansion Group has revealed its intentions to make these websites’ appearance more innovative, raise customer engagement and enhance its general business model in order to attract more British customers to its operations.
Christian Block, chief executive officer of the Mansion Group, said that the company is willing to guarantee a smooth transition, so it will continue to pay any future winnings to punters until all bets that had been placed with its MansionBet platform are settled or annulled due to the March 31st deadline.
Mr Block shared that the gambling group would pay out its last wagers on April 28th, 2023 in order to provide anyone with an active selection enough time to realize the bets in question. However, he warned that customers are supposed to withdraw their current bankroll balances by March 31st, 2022.
The decision to cease its sports betting operations in the UK will also affect MansionBet’s existing sponsorship with Bristol City FC, as the football club will no longer be the principal partner of the sports betting brand as of March 31st. The operator’s branding, however, will continue to appear on the club’s shirts by the end of the season.
