The UK-based provider of virtual sports, SBG video lottery and mobile gaming solutions Inspired Gaming Group announced that it has inked an exclusive long-term collaboration agreement with The Jockey Club and Carm Productions. The deal would result in producing a one-of-a-kind Virtual Grand National.
The Chief Commercial Officer at the Digital Games division of Inspired Gaming Steve Rogers said that the virtual races provided by the company were currently reached by customers in more than 50,000 outlets all over the world. According to him, they had become an important part of the sports betting offerings on a global scale.
Mr. Rogers said that the introduction of Aintree would enable the company with the chance to offer its customers a product that had no match on the market and would make Inspired Gaming stand out among its competitors in the business. In addition, the company’s clients would be provided with a unique experience thanks to the collaborative project with The Jockey Club and Carm Productions.
Under the terms of the agreement, Aintree is planned to be used as the setting for a completely new product portfolio provided by Inspired. The company’s Virtual Horse Race offering is to be the leading product in the suite. What is more, some legendary champions from the Grand National will take part in a special competition called the Virtual Grand National Race of Champions every year. The race is to take place on an annual basis will be aired before the live Grand National.
But that is not all – under the agreement, Inspired Gaming plans to release another Aintree race, which is to be called The Virtual Grand National. The virtual sports and mobile games provider is to use the current form and odds in order for a realistic 3D representation of the future race to be created. This is planned to be done right ahead of the Grand National competition on a yearly basis.
Currently, the Grand National race is watched by 600 million people in a total of 140 countries around the world. It offers a prize fund estimated to £1 million is considered as the most important and highly valued jump race on the territory of Europe.
Aintree is to become the first racecourse in the UK that is planned to be broadcast on a daily basis in Virtual Horse Races which are currently offered by Inspired. The Grand National race will be provided to both online and mobile customers.
