The sports betting solutions provider Kambi Sports Solutions obviously sticks to its strategy for further global expansion, since the brand announced its has expanded its agreement with PlayCity.
Kambi Sports Solutions first signed a deal with one of the divisions of Grupo Televisa – the PlayCity parent brand – in June 2015. The deal with Apuestas Internacionales S.A. de C.V. allowed the sports betting company to provide its self-service betting terminals and over-the-counter (OTC) betting in two casino venues of the PlayCity brand. In addition, the last year’s agreement provided the sports betting solutions supplier with the chance to eventually expand its reach to other venues that operate under the PlayCity’s brand and online.
The 2015 deal came as a “proof of concept” test that allowed Kambi to deploy its retail offering in two casino venues only.
The Chief Executive Officer of Kambi Kristian Nylén commented on the new agreement, saying that the company’s partnership with PlayCity brand had been quite successful so far, which was exactly why the Stockholm-listed provider’s team was absolutely happy with the latest agreement with Apuestas Internacionales.
According to Mr. Nylén, Kambi had proved that its retail offering for PlayCity’s casino customers could be as successful as its online operations. The same applied to the self-service betting terminals of the company. The supplier’s CEO also shared that everyone at Kambi Group were very happy with the fact that the customers of PlayCasino were giving a warm welcome to its products, so the entire team of the company was looking forward to expand its offering with PlayCasino, including land-based operations and online and mobile channels.
Now, under the terms of its latest agreement, Kambi is to provide a new sports betting offering to the Mexican market. The company is to launch a specialised multi-channel sports betting service for the Grupo Televisa’s PlayCity brand. Currently, the Apuestas Internacionales division owns and operates a total of 17 casinos under the above-mentioned brand across the territory of Mexico. Thanks to the latest agreement between the two parties, now Kambi will release its retail sportsbook product at these venues.
The PlayCasino deal expansion comes after the Spain-based operator Luckia has forsaken Kambi Group as its platform provider recently and preferred the sports platform offered by its rival SBTech.
