The casino company Genting UK has revealed that a planned revamp of its gambling property in Glasgow is already underway. The operator has also shared that the refurbishment, which has been estimated at £1.6 million, would fully transform one of the most popular gaming venues in Glasgow. The general manager of the casino, Iain Gardiner, shared that the company is making a significant investment in order to make sure its Glasgow customers can enjoy the best gaming experience.
As mentioned above, work on one of the city’s iconic casinos has already started. The venue, however, is planned to remain operational during the refurbishment. Genting UK, which currently owns and operates the casino, has projected that the transformation should be completed by the end of November 2019.
As revealed by the owners of the Genting Casino Glasgow, the gambling facilities of the casino would be subject to a complete overhaul. Moreover, a smaller gaming room is set to be added to the venue. The addition of the new gambling space would be complemented with the installation of a further 10 electronic gaming terminals and 20 slot machines.
Furthermore, a makeover is also set to be made in the existing larger gaming area and the mahjong room at Genting Casino Glasgow, so that the place becomes more welcoming to the for its customers. A Chinese theme is set to be incorporated in the facility’s interior as part of the upgrade, too.
New Slot Machines to Be Added, Along with Changes in Casino Décor and Styling
The Genting Casino Glasgow has always been closely bound to the Chinese community in the city, so the operator was willing to acknowledge those links by making them part of the casino refurbishment.
The gambling venue will see the addition of some traditional oriental décor elements, including graphic wallpapers and paintings. Apart from the upgrade of its interior, several relaunch events are also scheduled for January 2020, when the Chinese New Year is.
The food and beverage outlets within the casino are also set to introduce an oriental-themed overhaul, from décor and furniture to food and drinks available. The Asian-style décor will also be implemented in three karaoke rooms in the complex.
Apart from the decoration and renovation of the gambling property, Genting Casino Glasgow is also set to see the addition of a new city centre meeting room.
This is not the first casino property of Genting UK that has been subjected to an overhaul. Earlier this year, in April, the company revealed that some renovation works that had been worth £750,000 were underway in its gambling facility in Luton. The transformation of Genting Casino Luton was planned to be completed at the beginning of May and was aimed at improving the gaming experience for the venue’s patrons. As a result of the upgrade, more slot machines were added to the new gaming room of Genting Casino Luton, and the facility’s poker room was renovated.
