This year’s edition of the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS UK is already halfway gone, with a number of events having been brought to an end at the iconic Dusk Till Dawn Casino in Nottingham.
The live poker festival has already hosted two high-stakes cash games, with the £25,000 Super High Roller having only recently ended with Steve O’Dwyer emerging as the winner.
The last few weeks have been on lucky drive for the American poker pro, as he managed to take down the $2,100 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker event which brought him a monetary prize of $227,000, as well as partypoker $25,500 Super High Roller POWERFEST event from which he took home almost $900,000. Most recently, O’Dwyer emerged victorious from the £25,000 Super High Roller event at the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS UK festival, after defeating 50 more entries.

Despite the fact that the first day of the Super High Roller event saw just 17 entrants only, the player field eventually grew to a total of 51 entrants by the end of late registration. About fifteen hours of play later and an intense final table battle, Steve O’Dwyer faced Fabrizio Gonzalez in a fierce heads-up clash only to beat him and add another high-level poker victory to his account.
The latest victory of the American poker pro brought him a prize of £450,000 ($592,448) which boosted his total live earnings to $24,388,575. The winning also is O’Dwyer’s seventh, and biggest, partypoker MILLIONS cash.
Only 14 Players Get to Super High Roller’s Day 2
The 51 entries were cut short soon, with only 14 players returning for the Super High Roller’s Day 2. At the time when the second day of the event started, it was Ryan Riess who held the chip lead. Unfortunately for Riess, who is the winner of the 2013 WSOP Main Even, he became the bubble boy of the partypoker MILLIONS UK Super High Roller event a bit later, occupying the seventh place in the ranking.
After a fierce final table battle, Steve O’Dwyer and Fabrizio Gonzalez were the only two players left. The beginning of the heads-up play saw O’Dwyer with a massive chip lead over his competitor, holding 45,075,000 in chips against Gonzalez’ 6,250,000 stack. A bit later, Steve O’Dwyer triumphed as the event’s champion, leaving his opponent in second place.
