Bill Donnelly Takes Down WPTDeepStacks Oklahoma $1,100 Main Event for $52,500

Bill Donnelly managed to overcome a total players field of 241 entries and defeated his opponents at a five-hour long final table to emerge as the champion of the WPTDeepStacks Oklahoma $1,100 Main Event.

The tournament, which featured three game days and two starting flights, kicked off on September 22nd at the Downstream Casino Resort. As mentioned above, the $1,100 buy-in Main Event gathered a players field of 241 entrants and offered a guaranteed prize pool estimated to $200,000, which was exceeded by the participants and reached a total of $233,700.

Bill Donnelly managed to top all of his competitors to emerge victorious from the Main Event and get the lion’s share of the guaranteed prize pool. Apart from getting a monetary prize of $52,509, the American poker player was also granted with a $3,000 WPTDeepStacks Championship package that would allow him to take part in the WPTDeepStacks Championship, which is to be hosted at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Northern California in December 2017.

Until his victory at the WPTDeepStack Oklahoma $1,100 Main Event, Bill Donnelly’s total live earnings amounted to $176,883. The victory not only helped him boost his overall live winnings to over $200,000, but also brought him his best live cash so far.

Final Table Ranking

The WPTDeepStacks Oklahoma Main Event’s final table was given a start at noon on October 25th, with only nine players left. Over the first two hours of the game, the action was relatively calm, steady and slow, with only three players being eliminated at the time. Once the number of the remaining players was reduced to six, the game saw a long-series of six double-ups, but players got bust one by one.

With four more players gone, it finally time for the heads-up battle between Jon Bennett and Bill Donnelly. At the time, it was Jon Bennett who got the chip lead with 3.78 million in chips. Donnelly, however, was not too far behind, with 2.245 million in chips. Soon after that, he doubled up twice to take the chip lead before the final hand of the game and eventually took down the WPTDeepStacks Oklahoma $1,100 Main Event, emerging as winner of the event.

With Bill Donnelly emerging victorious from the WPTDeepStacks Oklahoma Main Event and taking home a monetary prize pool portion of $52,509 and a $3,000 WPTDeepStacks Championship Prize Package, Jon Bennett remained at the runner-up position. He was granted with a prize pool cash portion of $38,595. Jim Invideri took the third place in the ranking, getting a prize of $24,826 for his efforts.

The fourth position was occupied by Tyler Tabman, who was followed by John Martin. Michael Walling got sixth, while Anthony Astarita remained seventh. The last two places in the final table ranking were taken by Kurt Haiss who got eighth, and Matt Bond, who occupied the ninth place, respectively.
