With the first day of September coming tomorrow, poker lovers in the UK and Ireland could prepare themselves for another month of exciting live poker tournaments.
The upcoming month is literally packed with various live poker festivals, tournaments and events suitable for players with different preferences and bankrolls. Players in Great Britain and Ireland will be able to enjoy a large number of tournaments, offering different rules, buy-ins and prizes. Here are the tournaments you can join in September 2017:
2017 Genting Poker Series
Two Legs of the 2017 Genting Poker Series are to be held in September. Leg 12 already started in Liverpool’s Genting Club Queen Square (Circus Casino) on August 28th and is to end on September 3rd. Apart from the £440 No Limit Hold’em Main Event, featuring three starting flights and a £100,000 guaranteed prize, there will also be a £80 Super Seventy event with a guaranteed prize pool of £6,000.
Leg 13 of the 2017 Genting Poker Series is set to kick off on September 25th at the Genting Casino Fountainpark in Edinburgh. Its schedule includes two Satellites to the Main Event, a £80 Super Seventy and of course, the £440 NLHE Main Event.
PokerStars Series
The Hippodrome Casino in London already saw the beginning of the PokerStars Live London Super Series on August 30th. The Series is being held as part of PSLIVE Season 2017 and is to be through on September 3rd. A number of events and qualifiers to the Main Event are to be held over the Series, offering different buy-ins and prize pools.
A few days later, the PokerStars Megastack Sheffield is to take place between September 7th and 10th as part of PSLIVE Season 2017 and PSMEGA Season 1. The Megastack event is to kick off at the Genting Club Sheffield, offering a buy-in of £170.
At the end of the month, all poker lovers in Ireland and the UK will be given the opportunity to join PokerStars Festival Dublin, which is set to start on September 25th. A number of tournaments are to be hosted by Regency Airport Hotel in Dublin until October 1st, including a €170 NLHE PokerStars Megastack, a €330 NLHE PokerStars Cup, a High Roller event at the price of €2,200, and of course the €1,100 Main Event with a massive €700,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Dusk Till Dawn Series
September will see a number of events from the DTD Series. Today, on August 31st, the DTD 1000 is to begin at the Dusk Till Dawn casino in Nottingham, offering a three-day main event with two £1,000 starting flights as well as a guaranteed prize pool of £500,000. The event is being held as part of the DTD 1k Season 1.
In addition, there will be five DTD 100 Season 1 events held in September. All of them feature a £110 Main Event, offering three starting flights as well as a guaranteed prize estimated to £50,000. All events from the DTD 100 series in the upcoming month are to be hosted at the Nottingham’s Dusk Till Dawn casino, with the first one to take place from September 1st to 3rd. The next DTD 100 is to begin on September 8th, followed by the one on September 15th. Two more are to follow, starting on September 22nd and September 29th, respectively.
Monthly Special Series
September will see a total of two Monthly Special and two Mini Monthly Special events start at the Grosvenor G Casino in Reading. Both Monthly Special events will offer a guaranteed prize of £10,000, as well as a £110 buy-in. The first one of them is scheduled to start on September 2nd, and the other one is at the end of the month, kicking off on September 30th.
The Mini Monthly Special events are to be held on September 10th and September 24th, respectively, both of them featuring a buy-in of £67 as well as a guaranteed prize pool estimated to £5,000.
partypoker Series
The global poker brand partypoker is to host two live poker tournaments in September. First, players will be able to come to I.N.E.C Killarney – Gleneangle Hotel to take part in the partypoker Irish Tour 2017 that is to be held between September 7th and 10th. The Main Event is to offer a buy-in of €340 as well as a massive guaranteed prize of €100,000.
partypoker Grand Prix Killarney, on the other hand, looks even more promising, with a Main Event featuring a €300,000 guaranteed prize. The Series is to also offer a great variety of other events, suitable for players with different bankrolls.
Grosvenor 25/25 Series
The fans of the Grosvenor 25/25 Series will definitely not be disappointed, as there are four stops of the Series scheduled. All of them will feature the traditional buy-in of £220, as well as a guaranted prize pool of £25,000.
The first two are to kick off on September 7th at the Grosvenor G Casino in Blackpool, and at The Poker Room formerly known as The Vic in London, respectively. Then, two other are to follow from September 21st to 24th, hosted at the Grosvenor Casino in Southampton and at the Grosvenor Casino in Swansea, respectively.
Grosvenor UK Poker Tour
Another popular live poker series is to take place in the UK in September – Leg 7 of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) latest season. The series is to be hosted at the Grosvenor Casino Westgate in Leeds in the period from September 10th to 17th.
2017 GUKPT Leg 7 is to see a variety of poker tournaments featuring various costs and prize pools, including a £110 Mini Main Event with a £10,000 guaranteed prize as well as the Main Event. The latter offers a £550 buy-in and a massive £100,000 guaranteed.
Other UK-Based Events
The UK will see a few other live poker tournaments start in September. First, the Baby Five-0 is to kick off, being hosted at the Grosvenor G Casino in Reading. The tournament is to take place from September 14th to 17th, as a two-day event, offering four £60 buy-in starting flights as well as a £10,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Then, on September 17th, the Genting Casino Torquay is to become home to the One OFF PLO Tournament, followed by the Torquay Ton from September 22nd to 24th. The latter event will offer a £10,000 guaranteed and an affordable buy-in of £110, featuring two Day 1s.
Last but not least, the APAT Welsh Amaterur Poker Championship is to be held from September 29th to October 1st at the Grosvenor Casino in Cardiff as part of the 11th Season of APAT. A few Pot Limit Omaha poker events will be featured, as well as NLHE Main Event.
Other Ireland-Based Events
This September, Ireland will host two other live poker tournaments. The first one of them is to the Ulster Open a three-day €250 No Limit Hold’em event that is to be hosted by the Green Isle Hotel in Dublin from September 1st to 3rd.
Then, the Citywest Hotel in Dublin is to become home to the Winamax Poker Open in the period from September 19th to 24th. The series is to provide local poker lovers with the chance to enter a great variety of events, offering various buy-ins and prize pools.
