Jack Sinclair conquered the champion’s title in the 2017 partypoker LIVE German Poker Championship Super High Roller that took place over the weekend at King’s Casino Rozvadov in the Czech Republic.
The €25,000 buy-in Super High Roller tournament gathered a total players field of 28 entries. The event offered a massive first-place prize, with only the first three players getting paid. Jack Sinclair, whose total live earnings before him emerging victorious from the 2017 partypoker LIVE German Poker Championship Super High Roller amounted to $1,248,857, managed to take down the event by overcoming all of his opponents.
Sinclair was granted with a guaranteed prize pool cash portion of €250,000 after he agreed on a two-way deal with his last standing opponent Tony G. He maid it through to Day 2 of the Super High Roller tournament in third place and managed to take the lead throughout the second day of the event, with the players field being quickly reduced to nine players only.
At one time at the final table, Sinclair had the shortest chip stack, but he managed to pull himself together and boost his stack to finally remain as one of the last two players around the table. The first-place result, plus the €30,000 prize that he was granted with for his fourth position in the High Roller tournament at the start of the 2017 partypoker LIVE German Poker Championship have come as a fantastic addition to the great performance of the young player in this year’s edition of the World Series of Poker Main Event.
At Sunday evening, after the elimination of Steffen Sontheimer at the third position, Jack Sinclair and Tony G were the only two players around the final table, so they decided to stop the clock in order to discuss a two-way deal. They made an agreement that left Tony G with a cash portion estimated to a total of €300,000, and Jack Sinclair’s portion amounted to €240,000. The two players left the event’s trophy as well as a €10,000 prize to play for.
Eventually, only half an hour later, it was Sinclair who won the event, leaving Tony G at the second position, but the latter went home with the bigger share of the prize pool.
With Jack Sinclair on the first position with a monetary prize of €250,000 after a two-way deal, Tony G remained on the runner-up position. He took home €300,000, which was the lion’s share of the guaranteed prize pool. The third place in the ranking was taken by Steffen Sontheimer, who was granted with a cash prize of €115,000.
Bertrand Grospellier remained fourth, while Yair Bitoun occupied the fifth position of the ranking. Pavel Binar finished at the sixth place, with none of these three players finishing in the money.
