Max Silver Triumphs as 2017 WSOP $3,000 Limit Hold’em 6-Handed Event’s Winner

The UK poker player Max Silver managed to take down the 2017 WSOP $3,000 Limit Hold’em 6-Handed event, winning not only the lion’s share of the guaranteed prize pool and the event’s title, but also his first World Series of Poker bracelet.

The Dublin, Ireland-based player has received a total of $172,645 for his efforts after winning the three-day Limit Hold’em Event. Despite that the prize did not manage to surpass his best live cash of $432,960 generated by him winning the $25,000 No Limit Hold’em event of the 2015 Aria High Roller 8, it boosted his overall live earnings to $3,481,986. Silver’s latest cash prize also boosted his WSOP winnings to $1,300,585. Up to date, the player has a total of 25 cashes in the regular WSOP and Europe Circuit.

The UK poker player, who has been a professional for about eight years now, currently owns and operates an online training website. Before generating his latest winning and take home his first WSOP gold bracelet, Max Silver was best known for his excellent performances in three other important events. These performances included his eight position in the 2011 WSOP Europe Main Event, then his 3rd place in the 2014 WSOP $10,000 NLHE – Six Handed Championship, and his 33rd place in the 2016 WSOP $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event.

This year, the three-day Limit Hold’em event gathered a players field of 256 entries, who accumulated a total guaranteed prize pool estimated to $691,200. Only 39 of these players finished in the money.

At the time when the final table was formed, it was exactly Max Silver who got the chip lead for most of the six-handed play. The players got eliminated one by one, until only the final three remained around the table, with the elimination of Lena Wang at the fourth position. It did not take long for Mickey Craft to got eliminated, leaving the last two standing players compete for the event’s title.

At the time when the heads-up play started, Silver held the lead with more than 3:1 advantage, getting closer to his first WSOP bracelet win by the minute.

Despite Silver returned to his home in Dublin after he took down the 2017 WSOP $3,000 Limit Hold’em 6-Handed event, he confirmed that he is to return for some big events, including the WSOP Main Event, in a few days.

With Max Silver occupying the first position in the ranking, taking home a guaranteed prize pool monetary prize of $172,645 for his efforts, his major competitor Guowei Zhang remained as a runner-up with a prize estimated to $106,694.
