The end of the 2016/2017 season of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit is coming closer, with only one stop to host the tournament left. The current season of the domestic WSOP Circuit kicked off on August 4th 2016 at the Harrah’s Cherokee in North Carolina, and over the past nine months has been hosted in a number of US states, including Connecticut, Nevada, Illinois, Indiana, Florida, Mississippi, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Iowa, etc.
Now, a total of 21 stops later, Harrah’s New Orleans is to host the last stop of the 2016/2017 WSOP Circuit. Over the past nine months, the organisers of the tournament have awarded over 250 gold rings to poker players across the US, as well as massive cash prizes.
A total of 12 ring events will be hosted at the Harrah’s New Orleans, with the first one of them scheduled to start on May 11th. The casino officially opened in 1999, and got renovated about half a decade later. Currently, apart from the gaming space, it also features a 27-story hotel tower. The gaming area is situated on a total of 115,000 square feet and up to date is the sole land-based casino that features table games on the state of Louisiana. A spacious and comfortable poker room is also featured, with it being one of the most notable places to play poker in the region.
This is not the first time when Harrah’s New Orleans is hosting the WSOP Circuit events. As a matter of fact, the casino has become home of the tournament every year since the official start of the WSOP Circuit series, with the series traditionally seeing its schedule’s last stop there.
The WSOP Circuit Harrah’s New Orleans is to kick off with a $365 buy-in 1-day NLHE Re-Entry event. Event #2 is the $365 Pot Limit Omaha 8 or Better, a two day event featuring a re-entry option, which is to be held on May 11th, too. May 12th will see another 1-day NLHE Re-entry event kick off, as well as Event 4 – a three-day No Limit Hold’em, which offers a buy-in of $365.
The organisers of the 2016/2017 WSOP Circuit Harrah’s New Orleans are very much aware of the preferences of the players, so all poker lovers who join the series would be given the chance to enter a great variety of No Limit Hold’em events. The Seniors NLHE, Ladies NLHE and NLHE Monster Stack events undoubtedly deserve special attention, as well as the $1,675 buy-in Main Event, which is to be held as a three-day event. The Main Event is to kick off on May 19th, with the final table being scheduled for May 22nd.
The winner of the Main Event will not only get the lion’s share of the guaranteed prize pool and a gold ring, but will also be granted with a free seat to the WSOP Global Casino Championship. Apart from their seat, there is only one more left, which is to be granted to the player who manages to accumulate the largest amount of overall points.
