The multi-day event partypoker MILLIONS is to kick off in Nottingham’s Dusk Till Dawn casino in April to bring poker players from across the country to the tournament which features a massive amount in guaranteed prize pools.
The tournament was officially announced last year in September, as an event featuring a guaranteed prize pool of £5 million, with a prize of no less than £1 million that is to be granted to the eventual champion. Then, in October, partypoker made a new announcement, increasing the guaranteed prize pool to £6 million. This is expected to be the biggest partypoker MILLIONS event ever released.
The first phase started on October 4th, being held every Tuesday and Sunday until April 9th, 2016 both live and online, offering a buy-in of £550. What is more, satellite events with buy-ins starting from $0.01 were available. The starting stacks available to players amounted to 100,000 chips and play ends after a total of 19 levels. At the end, stacks are carried through to Day 1, and players are given the opportunity to choose whether they prefer a live or online Day 1 to join.
The upcoming partypoker MILLIONS is to give back the full £550 buy-in in cash to the first 100 players who are lucky enough to qualify for Phase 1, including to the players who have qualified via satellite. And the best part is that giving this cash back to players will not have an impact on the overall prize pool, as it comes as an added value.
partypoker also revealed that players who play more than one Phase 1 will be given the chance to play the corresponding number of Day 1 events.
partypoker MILLIONS phase 1 is to begin at 12:00 PM on April 14th. The next four days will feature two more Phase 1 events on a daily basis. Players will also be given the chance to join the MILLIONS High Roller Day 1, featuring a guaranteed prize of £1 million in return to a buy-in of £10,300. The High Roller Final day is on April 18th, which will also see the start of the Millions Day 1a event with a buy-in of £5,300. The latter is to run in three days, ending on April 21st and featuring an overall guaranteed prize of £6 million.
Another event that is on the partypoker MILLIONS schedule is the 8-Max event, which can be joined by the players for a buy-in of £2,700. Of course, a Dusk Till Dawn event with a guaranteed of £100,000 will be featured in the event’s schedule.
