The international online bookmaker SBOBET which operates as a subsidiary of Celton Manx, has extended its partnership agreement with the Ireland Premier Division Dundalk Football Club.
The Executive Director of Celton Manx Bill Mummery commented on the partnership expansion, saying that everyone at the e-gaming products and services provider’s team had been very glad with the fact that SBOBET subsidiary of the company had managed to renew its sponsorship deal with the Irish Dundalk Footbal Club.
Mr. Mummery explained that the partnership would be beneficial for both parties, and further revealed that the deal would result in SBOBET expanding its reach in the Republic of Ireland.
Now, the online bookmaker and the Irish football club agreed that SBOBET is to be an official betting partner of Dundalk Football Club for a period of two more years. Under the terms of the partnership agreement, the SBOBET brand is to be promoted over the football matches of the club which are to take place at the home grown of the club’s home ground Oriel Park, located in Dundalk, County Louth. This agreement comes as an expansion of the initial partnership of the two parties which was first agreed at the beginning of the 2016 season.
The sponsorship contract expansion is expected to provide SBOBET with the chance to expand its reach among Dundalk’s supporters, consolidating its presence in the region.
As mentioned above, the online bookmaker SBOBET operates as a subsidiary of Celton Manx – a e-gaming services and products provider headquartered in the Isle of Man. The company was officially granted with its first operating licence by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, which allowed Celton Manx to operate a live dealer online casino. Its sports betting brand SBOBET, on the other hand, has operations in Asia and holds licences issued by the Philippines. In Europe, the brand is licences by the Isle of Man regulatory authorities.
The brand was officially established in 2004. This is not the first sponsorship agreement in its existence so far. A few years ago, SBOBET acted as the shirt sponsor of Cardiff City over the 2010/11 season, and then signed a partnership contract with West Ham United until the end of the 2012/13 season. In 2013, Celton Manx revealed a series Asian Betting Partnership deals with five Premier League teams, including West Ham United F.C., Swansea City A.F.C., Hull City A.F.C., Norwich City F.C. and Southampton F.C.
Back in February 2016, the brand was announced as the principal sponsor of Wexfor Youth over the 2016 season. Its relationship with Dundalk dates back to March 2016.
The General Manager of the Dundalk Football Club Martin Connolly also commented on the sponsorship deal, saying that the extended partnership was a wonderful news for the club. He described the bookmaker as a respected provider of sports betting services, which would bring future benefits for the club. He also predicted that the official sponsorship deal would help Dundalk have another great campaign in the Irish Premier League.
