SIS Remains as Only Provider of Its Race Day Data

The leading provider of betting services and data provider SIS, which operates in both the retail and online betting markets, revealed it has quitted licensing agreements with other providers of its greyhound racing and horse racing data to the web-based bookmaking industry. The company announced that it is to be the only provider of its premier international horse racing content, as well as to Irish horse racing and UK horse racing from 20 courses.

The Commercial Director of SIS Paul Witten commented on the announcement, describing the decision as a major step forward for the company, as it would enable it with more direct interactions with customers. Mr. Witten revealed that SIS was currently negotiating with other data providers in order to make transitional arrangements with them and eventually safely and efficiently migrate over to the new services.

Currently, SIS provides both horse racing and greyhound racing core race day data to the online betting market. A number of contracted data distributors have also been authorised of doing so under the terms of certain licensing agreements.

As revealed by SIS, the company will have the exclusive rights to provide official core race day data for UK horse racing from 20 courses, Irish horse racing and UK greyhound racing from 22 tracks. In addition, the core race day data for premier international racing from Germany, Singapore, Dubai and Latin America will also be provided by SIS.

The company’s decision has been made as part of its strategy to make sure it builds online data market content. As a result, SIS’ customers will now be able to access various pricing services, including early prices, enhanced data services and in-running data for horseracing. The latter is a new and innovative development made by SIS. It is expected to become available later in 2017 and comes to help the company make a number of betting opportunities that are expected to be important for it.

Customers of the company will also be able to reach the streaming capabilities of SIS by using the latter’s Stream platform. It provides users with various content not only with greyhound racing content from the UK, but also with horse racing content from Dubai, Latin America and Singapore. Irish horse racing content is expected to be offered in the SIS Stream platform soon.
