One of the most successful gaming content, systems and services developer Playtech, which is currently among the leading gaming software suppliers on a global scale, has reached an agreement of major importance with FRV Finland group’s key brand Veikkaus.
The Chief Operating Officer of Playtech Shimon Akad explained that the agreement with Veikkaus comes as an important step for the company, as it would help it extend its presence on the territory of Finland. He also added that the deal would help the UK-based gaming software supplier with consolidating its relationship with the Finnish brand and its key stakeholders.
Mr. Akad further said that everyone at Playtech was very happy with the fact that Veikkaus had chosen the British company to enhance the long-lasting partnership and support its further growth in the country.
Currently, Playtech is known as one of the first companies that have been engaged with Omni-channel platform development through its Playtech ONE brand. The latter provides gambling operators around the world with an excellent experience and high-quality content.
The deal with the Group which consists of the recently-merged companies Veikkaus, RAY and Fintoto is expected to help UK-based Playtech generate further growth in the Finnish gambling market. The aforementioned companies are all run by the country’s government and have recently joined forces in a single entity to follow their common goal of establishing stronger positions in the market in the upcoming years.
The British gambling software developer has already maintained professional relationship with the Slot Machine Association of Finland RAY for six years now. Under the terms of the newly-signed agreement, Playtech is expected to supply the Group with its qualitative games and casino content. Further gaming content implementation is also planned for the future.
The collaboration between Playtech and RAY dates back to 2010. Since then, the UK-based gambling software provider has managed to establish one of the online gaming operations that have quickly grew in the region, announcing double digit growth year-on-year. What is more, the two companies have put some efforts into building a responsible gaming framework that has been especially created and adapted in correspondence with the regulatory requirements in Finland.
The long-lasting collaboration between Playtech and RAY has made an important change in the Nordic gambling market, related to the delivery of specialised gambling platforms. In addition, it has resulted in significantly increasing the offering of the operator. Last year, the contract between the two companies was extended for 20 more years.
