The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has granted the gaming service provider Gaming Innovation Group Inc.’s subsidiary BettingCloud Ltd with a Class 4 Remote Gaming License. Basically, this is a business-to-business supplier license that is to provide the company’s affiliate to offer other licensed operators its sports betting product.
The Chief Executive Officer of Gaming Innovation Group Robin Reed commented on the newly-acquired license, describing it as a major milestone for the company on the sports betting vertical. He explained that Gaming Innovation Group was to still branch out in the iGaming value chain and added that it is now using its full potential of gaming service provider.
Malta-based Gaming Innovation Group is a gambling solutions and interactive entertainment provider, which currently operates in a number of countries. The Group offers a variety of services, including business-to-business performance marketing and cloud-based services, as well as a business-to-consumer gambling operators providing their customers with qualitative gaming solutions. The Class 4 Remote Gaming License is a great step for the company and is expected to help it consolidate its positions on the market.
The first operator that is expected to be launched on the license of BettingCloud is the German facing operator Wetten.com. Earlier in 2016, Gaming Innovation Groups’ iGamingCloud signed a platform deal with the Germany-based company, so now Wetten.com is looking to sot launch until the end of the week. The full commercial launch is expected to be finalised at the beginning of the first quarter of 2017.
Currently, the company is developing technology to be able to produce proprietary odds through its affiliate OddsModel AS. On the other hand, its BettingCloud brand is expected to offer host of sports betting services in the upcoming year. The proprietary odds technology is to be commercialised in 2017, after which it will be officially integrated onto BettingCloud. As a result, the latter will offer a wide variety of content services, odds feeds, risk management and trading tools, and a betting engine.
Chief Executive Officer Reed gave a small glimpse to the Gaming Innovation Group’s plans for the upcoming year, saying that the company’s efforts would have its results, which were expected to bring great benefits to both GIG and its customers.
