The latest update of the Global Poker Index ranking saw little change in the top 10 positions, but the US player Thomas “Kingofcards” Marchese climbed in the ranking, reaching the 11th position.
After the beginning of his career, the 29-year-old player who currently resides in Las Vegas, NV has all-time winnings estimated to $14,009,777. His best live cash amounted to $1,574,518.
This year has brought an amazing poker experience to Marchese, who took part in a number of poker tournaments and events and managed to generate massive winnings. The last poker event he participated in was the $25,000 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em of Aria High Roller 41, in which he ranked as a runner-up and was granted with $181,430. Only a day before this event – on September 9th, he took place in the Aria High Roller 40 25,000 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em and occupied the third position, taking home a prize of $60,480.
Of course, these were not the only two Aria High Roller tournaments Thomas Marchese entered over 2016. In the period from January to April he participated in another five Aria High Roller tournaments, three of which saw him as a winner. Marchese, also known under the nickname “Kingofcards”, won the Aria High Roller 22, 26 and 28. His participation in the five tournaments also brought him overall winnings of $1,128,558.
In August, Marchese took part in a total of two events of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open tournament – the $5,250 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em – SHRPO Championship and the $25,500 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em – High Roller event, ranking 23rd and 14th, respectively. The overall winnings of the player generated in the events were estimated to $91,688.
Of course, there was absolutely no way for Marchese to miss the 47th Edition of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in 2016. He participated in six events, which took place in Las Vegas from June 6th to July 17th. The best ranking reached by the player was his 14th position in the $10,000 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em Main Event Championship, which brought him a massive prize of $427,930.
From April 15th to 20th the 29-year-old player also entered the World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown‘s $3,500 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em – WPT Showdown Championship.
