The professional Spanish poker pro Adrian Mateos, who currently resides in London, UK and is known for his preference to High Roller poker events has managed to move up as high as the 10th position over the latest Global Poker Index (GPI) Ranking update. The all-time winnings generated by the young player amount to $5,527,258, while his largest cash bounty to date is estimated to $1,351,661.
This year, the 22-year-old Mateos has taken part in a series of poker tournaments and events.
He entered in a total of three events of the EPT-13-ESPT-7-Barcelona, taking home overall cash winnings of €123,095. The best ranking Mateos got in the series was his 12th position in the €50,000 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em – Super High Roller 8-Handed, which brought him a prize of €98,000. He also participated in another High Roller 8-Handed event on August 26th-28th, as well as in the No Limit Hold’em – Turbo 6-Handed. Before that, on July 2nd, he ranked third in the €25,000 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em – High Roller 8 of the Bellagio High Roller VII, winning a prize of $131,040.
Earlier this year, Mateos participated in a number of other events of the EPT Series, including the EPT-12-FPS-6-Grand Final at the end of April and the EPT-12-UKIPT-5-Dublin in February.
From July 14th to 18th he travelled to Las Vegas, where he took part in the Bellagio Cup XII. Earlier in July 2016, he entered the Aria Super High Roller 10 series and ranked fifth. He also participated in the Hollywood Poker Open.
Mateos also took part in the 2016 Edition of the World Series of Poker (WSOP). First, he participated in a total of three events organised in the period from June 7th to June 22nd. He even won one of them – the $1,500 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em Summer Solstice and was granted with a prize of 409,171. Later, from July 8th to 10th he entered the No-Limit Hold’em High Roller for One Drop which was part of the Series and got to the 11th position.
Apart from that, the 22-year-old poker pro entered the $10,000 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em event of the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown and got on the fourth place, winning a massive prize chunk of $200,510. On March 1st, he ranked second in the No Limit Hold’em High Roller Turbo 6Max of this year’s edition of the WPT L.A Poker Classics. And in January, Mateos became part of the 2016 PCA tournaments, as well as of the Leg 1 of the 2016 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour.
