Anthony Zinno remains at the fourth position at the latest Global Poker Index (GPI) Ranking for a third consecutive week. The latest upgrade of the ranking saw the first three places unchanged, with the 23-year-old Fedor Holz still holding on to the top, followed by Jason Mercier and Nick Petrangelo.
The Cranston, US-born player is famous for winning three World Poker Tour (WPT) titles as well as a World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet last year. Zinno, who has once reached the first position in the Ranking, has all time winnings of $6,041,033 and live best cash estimated to $1,122,196. Apart from being fourth in the current GPI Ranking, he is also third by national rank to date.
The professional poker player took part in the 47th edition of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) this year. His best result was getting to the 8th position among a total of 2,016 entries in the $1,500 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em event that took place between June 6th and 8th.
He also participated in several other events of 2016 WSOP, including #13, #16, #22 and #48, making his overall winnings of this year’s tournament edition up to $79,183.
Anthony Zinno also performed pretty good in the WPT Amsterdam between May 10th and 14th. He earned a total of €90,460 by ranking third in the tournament’s €3,000+300 No Limit Hold’em Main Event.
In 2016, Zinno also took part in several other competitions. At the end of April this year he joined the EPT-12-FPS-6-Grand Final in Monte Carlo. He participated in two high-roller events, generating total winnings of €378,250. First, the player got sixth in the €10,000+300 No Limit Hold’em – High Roller #2 and then took part in the €25,000+750 No Limit Hold’em – High Roller #63 between May 4th and 6th in which he occupied the sixth position, too.
Earlier in 2016, the US-based player took part in the $10,000 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em – WPT Seminole Rock Finale #22 and got to the 11th position. In the period from March 12th to March 16th Zinno participated in the WPT Rolling Thunder’s $10,000 Buy-in No Limit Hold’em Main Event winning $58,210 for his eleventh position.
The poker pro also entered the #28 No Limit Hold’em EPT Main Event of the EPT-12-UKIPT-Dublin in February. In January 2016 he also took part in this year’s edition of the World Poker Tour – Borgata Winter Poker Open that took place at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City.
